Nova Experience Day

Nova Experience Day: Ladder Battle Recap

Before our official launch, we opened our doors for Nova Experience Day, a soft launch to give the community a first look at the club. The highlight was the Ladder Battle, a friendly but competitive tournament that kept every player on court and in the mix.

The format
Fifteen players at the 2.5–3.22 level were split across three courts, with five players on each court. Each court ran a round robin scramble, which meant partners rotated every game. Each player played four games with a different partner every time, so you got to play alongside and against everyone on your court.

Scoring
Every game used rally scoring to 15, win by 2, capped at 17. With rally scoring, every rally counts, so games move fast and no lead is safe.

The road to the final
After the round robin, the top player from each court advanced to the Final Round. They were joined by the two best second-place finishers across all courts. That created a final group of five, who played it out for the title.

More than a tournament
The scramble format was the real winner of the day. Rotating partners meant players who arrived as strangers left as new teammates, rivals, and friends. Thanks to everyone who came out, played hard, and helped us test the courts. The energy in the building showed us exactly what this community can be.
